The US was conspicuous by its absence in the top 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top performer in Europe is Paris Charles de Gaulle, up one spot to fifth place, while Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was the highest ranked North American airport, languishing in 18th position \u2014 but an improvement from 27th place last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New York\u2019s JFK fell three spots to 88th place China\u2019s Shenzhen leaped 26 places to 31 \u2014 two above Hong Kong Melbourne was the top Australian airport in 19th place, up from 26 last year London Heathrow dropped nine places to 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee Seow Hiang, Chief Executive Officer for Changi Airport Group said that \u201cChangi Airport is honored to be named World\u2019s Best Airport for the twelfth time\u201d. He also said that the \u201cThis recognition is great encouragement to our airport community, who stood firmly together to battle the challenges of Covid-19 over the past two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Skytrax is a UK-based consultancy&nbsp;which conducts research for commercial airlines, as well as taking surveys from international travellers to rate cabin staff, airports, airlines, airline lounges, in-flight entertainment, on-board catering, and several other elements of air travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also an airline forum where passengers give potential passengers insights and opinions about an airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Skytrax World Airport Awards are determined by customer satisfaction survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>World\u2019s Best Airport Rankings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with the 2022 rankings, following are the World\u2019s Best Airports of 2023:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore Changi&nbsp; (3) Doha Hamad&nbsp; (1) Tokyo Haneda&nbsp; (2) Seoul Incheon&nbsp; (5) Paris Charles de Galle&nbsp; (6) Istanbul&nbsp; (8) Munich&nbsp; (7) Zurich&nbsp; (9) Tokyo Narita&nbsp; (4) Madrid Barajas&nbsp; (16) Vienna&nbsp; (19) Helsinki-Vantaa&nbsp; (11) Rome Fiumicino&nbsp; (24) Copenhagen&nbsp; (17) Kansai&nbsp; (10) Centrair Nagoya&nbsp; (12) Dubai&nbsp; (14) Seattle-Tacoma&nbsp; (27) Melbourne&nbsp; (26) Vancouver&nbsp; (28)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the height of pandemic travel restrictions, after losing its long-held crown to Qatar for two years, Singapore\u2019s Changi has regained its title as the world\u2019s best airport.
