Google is expanding the One VPN service to all Google One subscriptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to this it was restricted to Google One members with the 2TB plan or above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VPN service now open to all<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google One subscribers will be able to utilize the company’s VPN service, regardless what paid tier they are on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, you had to pay <\/a>for the $9.99 monthly tier that included 2TB of storage to access it (or buy a Pixel 7, which includes it even if you\u2019re not a One subscriber). Now, however, it\u2019s even included with the $1.99 monthly \u201cBasic\u201d plan, which comes with 100GB of storage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This should be welcome news for those that are on the Basic and Standard plans, as they’ve been missing out on the VPN protection for some years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google’s VPN service can help protect Google’s VPN service online identity by masking your IP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This would make it harder <\/a>for companies and services to track your activity or pinpoint your location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now the VPN service is available in only a few countries and India is not among them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subscribers should start seeing VPN access roll out to their accounts \u201cover the next few weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDark web report will start rolling out over the next few weeks to members across all Google One plans in the US,\u201d the tech giant said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Availability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The VPN currently only works in 22 countries. These are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users who have a Google One family plan will be able to share the VPN with others on the same plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dark web report<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from this Google is also offering a Dark web report that monitors stolen information, a feature called \u201cDark web report.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would scan personal info on dark websites and prompt users if it notices their data online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would allow users to keep tabs on their sensitive information just in case it has leaked onto the dark web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there is plenty of information, Google states that it will scan the dark web and allow users to keep tabs on vital information like name, emails, phone number, social security numbers, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users can add info such as address, physical address, social security number, phone number, and date of birth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Google finds it in any of its scans, the user gets a notification with suggestions on what kind of steps you can take.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
