(Check Features, USPs Of 'Aera' By Matter Energy)\" class=\"wp-image-1243428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-2.png 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-2-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Untitled-design-2-768x357.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Two variants at present<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It arrives in two variants and is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh for the 5,000 variant and Rs 1.54 lakh for the higher-spec 5,000+ variant (ex-showroom, India, including FAME-II subsidy, excluding state subsidies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently it is just these two variants on offer but will expand to four in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Battery, range<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both existing variants have a liquid-cooled, 5kWh battery with a claimed 125km real-world range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The liquid-cooled motor has a claimed peak power output of 10.5kW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The battery itself weighs approximately 40kg and the Aera e-bike tips the scales at roughly 180kg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First in market with 4-speed gearbox<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One USP is that it is the first electric bike to boast of a 4-speed gearbox, making it the only one in the market to do so as of now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Aera 5000 gets a 7-inch touch-compatible display with optional Bluetooth connectivity, park assist, keyless operation, OTA updates, progressive blinkers and welcome lights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 5000+ comes with Bluetooth connectivity as standard along with a lifestyle and care package, although what that includes is yet to be revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pricing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Matter Aera is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh and Rs 1.54 lakh, for the 5000 and 5000+ variants, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The battery pack and the Aera both come standard with a 3-year warranty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether the price includes the charger is also unknown at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Just getting started<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matter Energy said that its first experience centre will open in Ahmedabad in the next 45 days.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The network will grow to 20 dealerships across the country in the next three months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the end of this year, that number will grow to approximately 100, claims the Ahmedabad-based start-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preorders, bookings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bikes can be preordered in metros and tier-1 cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune and Chennai, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bookings will open for the Matter Aera within the next 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also claims that it had started work on its manufacturing facility in November 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It hasn&#8217;t provided any details as to what the delivery timelines would be, simply stating that it will&nbsp; commence this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocarindia.com\/bike-news\/matter-aera-e-bike-launched-at-rs-144-lakh-427436\">summer<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Matter Energy, a Gujarat-based electric two-wheeler company has launched its electric bike \u201cAera\u201d in the country.
