First Foldable Smartphone From OnePlus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 28 February, OnePlus officially confirmed that it will be launching its first flagship foldable smartphone. The phone will be released in the second half of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The smartphone will offer the signature OnePlus fast and smooth experience, said Kinder Liu, president and COO of OnePlus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, the announcement comes just a few days after its sister company Oppo launched its foldable smartphone, the Oppo Find N2 Flip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While talking at the \u201cFrom Fast & Smooth to Beyond\u201d panel discussion at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023), Liu said that OnePlus\u2019 foldable smartphone will bring the fastest phone experience in today\u2019s foldable market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cIt must be a flagship phone that doesn’t settle because of its folding form, in terms of industrial design, mechanical technology, and other aspects,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want to launch a device that aims to be at the pinnacle experience of today\u2019s foldable market,\u201d Liu said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further  Liu noted that the foldable will have the form-factor of a book, meaning more along the lines of the Galaxy Z Fold rather than the Galaxy Z Flip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, it is uncertain whether this will be a brand new device or perhaps a modified and rebranded version of the Oppo Find N2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems that the company had nothing more to say at the moment nor did it have any images to share. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
