We really, truly, do. But lately, it\u2019s been extremely challenging to accommodate children at Nettie\u2019s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between noise levels, lack of space for high chairs, cleaning up crazy messes, and the liability of kids running around the restaurant, we have decided that it\u2019s time to take control of the situation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This wasn\u2019t a decision that was made lightly, but some recent events have pushed us to implement this new policy.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Addressing the controversy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As of March 8, the day we return from our winter break, we will no longer allow children under 10 to dine in the restaurant&#8221;, the outlet in its post added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The restaurant acknowledged that the decision is a controversial one, especially upsetting to those with &#8220;very well-behaved kids, but we believe this is the right decision for our business moving forward&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It concluded the post by saying, &#8220;Thank you for understanding.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kids a liability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to a user comment it admitted that children have &#8220;become a liability to us.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Children run around the eatery in circles while carrying the food trays and serving the diners, making our jobs extremely difficult&#8221;, the restaurant said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Users responded with varied opinions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Criticism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some criticized the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;That is really sad to hear .. I was looking forward to trying out your place but with a well behaved 9 year old I\u2019m not welcome .. sad&#8221;, wrote one parent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But others <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/trending\/this-us-restaurant-bans-children-under-age-of-10-here-s-why-101676115221352.html?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">felt <\/a>it was justified, claiming it would make dining easier.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Agreement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A user wrote, &#8220;Fantastic idea\u2026 having worked in the industry since I was 14, I\u2019ve never seen anything like I have in the recent past.
