WhatsApp is planning to release new features soon, one among which will allow users to schedule calls within their group chats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Call<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Convenience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this feature, users will be able to schedule calls in advance with other group members which should provide more convenience and flexibility to the way they communicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should come in handy when the group is organizing an event, by allowing members to schedule a call to discuss the details and confirm everyone’s availability<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screenshot shared by WaBetaInfo revealed that the platform will display a schedule option when you tap on the call button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you tap on Schedule Call, WhatsApp displays three options, including title, select a date, and time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After entering the details the user will have to tap on the \u201cCreate\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the call is scheduled, WhatsApp will send an alert to the participants for the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users will also be notified when the call begins, so if someone is running late they will be notified about the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature is visible <\/a>in version 2.23.4.4 WhatsApp beta for Android.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanded media sharing feature<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WhatsApp has also introduced the ability to share up to 100 media within your chats, for some beta testers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to check if the increased media sharing feature is enabled for your WhatsApp account, try to select more than 30 media in the media picker within the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are not able to share beyond 30, then you may need to wait for a future update of the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feature can be useful for those wanting to share large albums with friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, the new limit helps prevent users from selecting the same photo or video more than once in case they need to send a lot of media files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calling shortcuts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, it was reported that the messaging platform was working on a new feature which will allow users to create calling shortcuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this, it will be possible <\/a>to create a calling shortcut by just tapping the contact cell within the list of contacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voice note transcription<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WhatsApp is also said to be developing a feature that would transcribe voice notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this feature, the app will identify what was said in the message to transform the audio content into text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However it would support only English, so it won’t work if a voice message is received in a different language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
