On Tuesday, Microsoft announced<\/a> that they are improving on how the world benefits from the web by reinventing the tools billions of people use every day, the search engine and the browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI-powered Bing Search Engine and Edge Browser Launch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move is aimed to empower people to unlock the joy of discovery, feel the wonder of creation and better harness the world\u2019s knowledge, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft has launched an all new, AI-powered Bing<\/a> search engine and Edge browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is available in preview now at Bing.com<\/a> and expected to  deliver better search, more complete answers, a new chat experience and the ability to generate content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These tools are perceived as an AI copilot for the web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chairman and CEO, Microsoft, Satya Nadella said, \u201cAI will fundamentally change every software category, starting with the largest category of all \u2013 search.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding, \u201cToday, we\u2019re launching Bing and Edge powered by AI copilot and chat, to help people get more from search and the web.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, there are 10 billion search queries a day, but we estimate half of them go unanswered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that people are using search to do things it wasn\u2019t originally designed to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s great for finding a website, but for more complex questions or tasks too often it falls short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To simply answer the question, the new Bing and Edge have brought together search, browsing and chat into one unified experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best thing about this is that it can be invoked from anywhere on the web. Let’s go through the latest features it is delivering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. A Better Search<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This AI powered Bing is offering an improved version of the familiar search experience, providing more relevant results for simple things like sports scores, stock prices and weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has a new sidebar that shows more comprehensive answers if you want them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Providing Complete Answers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This all new Bing reviews the results from across the web to find and summarize the answer you\u2019re looking for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance, you can get detailed instructions for how to substitute eggs for another ingredient in a cake you are baking right at that moment, without scrolling through multiple results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Brand New Chat Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking for some complex information such as for planning a detailed trip itinerary or researching what TV to buy \u2013 the new Bing offers new, interactive chat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This chat experience further helps you to refine your search until you get the complete answer you are looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This can be achieved simply by asking for more details, clarity and ideas \u2013 with links available so you can immediately act on your decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. With A Creative Spark<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At times you need more than an answer, maybe an  inspiration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new Bing can generate the content to help you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Be it in writing an email or creating a 5-day itinerary for a dream vacation to Hawaii or with links to book your travel and accommodations, prep for a job interview or create a quiz for trivia night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. A Fresh Microsoft Edge Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with the new AI capabilities and a new look, it has two new functionalities including Chat and compose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Edge Sidebar can provide a summary of a lengthy financial report to get the key takeaways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The chat function asks for a comparison to a competing company\u2019s financials and automatically puts it in a table. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
