All banks nationwide will be closed on January 29 because it is a Sunday. Then on the 30th and 31st, bank unions intend to strike, which could cause customers to experience issues for 4 straight days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to put pressure on the government to accede to their demands, the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), an umbrella organisation of several bank unions, has decided to strike for two days starting on January 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further discussing the matter, CH Venkatachalam, General Secretary of All India Bank Employees Association told IANS that a UFBU <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesnownews.com\/business-economy\/industry\/bank-strike-banking-services-to-be-affected-on-these-2-days-details-here-article-96959158\/amp?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">meeting<\/a> was held in Mumbai on Thursday. It was decided to call for a strike on January 30 and 31 because the Indian Banks&#8217; Association (IBA) had not responded to their demands despite letters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He claims that the purpose of the strike is to enforce the bank union&#8217;s demands, which include a 5-day workweek for banking. The pension situation needs to be updated. Additionally, they want the National Pension System eliminated (NPS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of their demands also calls for immediate action in the wage revision charter negotiations. to start the hiring process across all cadres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rewards Declared For BHIM And Rupay Transactions by Central Government<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The central government has now approved promotional incentives for Rupay debit cards and transactions made through UPI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, incentives worth Rs 2,600 crore for FY 2022-23 have been approved as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, rewards for using BHIM and Rupay debit cards for P2M (person-to-merchant) transactions will be rewarded.
