We are often warned of being careful of fraud attempts conducted to get hold of one\u2019s bank account details and avoid giving access in the form of One Time Password (OTP) or account details to anyone for one\u2019s best interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, what should be done when the authority in the picture is a bank employee? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent complaint filed in the state of Himachal Pradesh, a bank employee has been charged with conducting a fraud of more than Rs 3 crore by allegedly duping the bank\u2019s customers of their hard-earned money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a fraud<\/a> case reported at the Shimla branch of the country\u2019s leading private sector lender ICICI Bank, the branch manager by the name of Arvind Kumar has been charged with duping its customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the New Shimla branch of ICICI Bank, the accused branch manager has collected funds aggregating to nearly Rs 3,89,89,582 from the branch\u2019s customers, collected under the excuse of mutual funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per the complaint filed, Kumar collected the huge corpus from customers of the bank\u2019s customers in the name of the bank and deposited it in his own bank account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police said in its report that the finding was in line with the investigation conducted by a committee formed by ICICI Bank itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police of the area said that the details of the concerned investment under the accused manager\u2019s account were not found in the bank records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They further added a case has been booked under Arvind Kumar\u2019s account under the prospects of two sections of the Indian Penal Code(IPC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two sections include the Section 406, standing for the criminal breach of trust as well as Section 420, standing for cheating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
