A piece of good news for the employees and the visitors at the IT parks<\/a> in the Noida city as soon, it will be able to have bars for their employees and visitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serving Liquor In IT Park Restaurant<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, the Noida Authority announced that it had revised its policy on institutional properties over 5 acres or more at the board meeting On December 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of this revision, the restaurants in Noida\u2019s IT parks will be allowed to serve liquor after getting necessary permits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only this, new bars can also be opened on the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How Does This Help?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The decision was taken considering the long pending demand of IT companies that their staff needs some \u2018leisure time\u2019 after hectic work hours, said the Noida Authority officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from this, such organizations also host several clients who need some time off while visiting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far, the institutional properties in Noida\u2019s IT parks could have restaurants, sports clubs and gyms, but serving liquor was not allowed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This move is welcomed by Gautam Budh Nagar excise officials  as they said that this could add to the district\u2019s earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explaining the same, Gautam Budh Nagar\u2019s excise officer RB Singh said, \u201cIt is a good move. Noida is an emerging destination for IT companies. Other IT hubs like Gurgaon and Bengaluru also allow bars. There are many restaurants in IT and ITES plots in Noida that wanted a bar license but we could not grant it earlier because of the Authority\u2019s restrictions,\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the district liquor bar committee, headed by the district magistrate, gives the approval for a bar license. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The excise department checks if the necessary documents are in place, after they receive the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not The First Time<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s not happening for the first time as Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s reply<\/a> in the Assembly november 2021, hinting at opening of pubs and wine parlors responding to demands from the sector, has brought in a lot of cheer among the workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 It seems that quite a few young professionals in the IT sector have been reluctant to move to Kerala’s IT parks owing to the lack of social life after work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, Vineeth Chandran, Secretary of Prathidhwani, welfare organization of IT employees in Kerala has welcomed the decision as it could also lead to an improvement in IT business, with more companies getting attracted there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
