As a result, the current order will be nearly five times larger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Railways intends to cover all 60,000-odd coaches with CCTV surveillance on doorways, vestibule areas, and aisle areas, ensuring that no one&#8217;s privacy is violated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CCTVs To Come With Video Analytics And Facial Recognition Systems<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These IP-based CCTVs will also include video analytics and facial recognition systems. They will allow coaches to be operated and monitored remotely from RPF posts, divisional and zonal headquarters. Each coach must have at least two panic buttons, and pressing them will alert the nearest RPF post or data center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per reports, \u201cThe system implemented shall act as a tool to respond to situations and incidents effectively, aiding faster decision making and act as a great learning for better preparedness to meet any incident and eventualities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The railways want CCTV systems installed inside coaches to help with facial recognition and unambiguous identification of the target person by providing high-resolution images. Facial recognition is desired in low-light conditions, particularly in the aisle area of the coaches at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system should also be able to withstand shocks and vibrations, according to the railways.
