What\u2019s changed?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

However, from 1st January, 2023 this is no longer possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Serbian government has decided to deny access to Indian passport holders from entering Serbia without a valid current visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision came after the regulations in the European Nations’ common visa policy which intends to control illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New rules<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Indian Embassy in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, has stated that holders of regular Indian passports are required by the embassy to seek visas from it before entering the nation from January 1, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the new visa requirement will not affect Indians who have a valid Schengen, UK, or US visa or a residency permit in certain countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a period of 90 days, Indian passport holders who currently have valid UK, US, or Schengen visas could still enter Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other affected countries<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Not just India but Serbia has discontinued <\/a>visa-free entry to citizens of Guinea-Bissau, Tunisia, and Burundi as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the requirements of EU visa policy and measures to control illegal migrants Serbia will no longer allow visa-free travel regulations for citizens of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to earlier norms, Indian travelers holding ordinary passports and other travel documents did not require a visa to enter Serbia for up to 30 days, within a period of one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Info Indians should note<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Considering the latest development, the Indian Embassy has informed <\/a>Indian nationals planning to visit Serbia on or after January 1, 2023, to apply for a visa at the Embassy of Serbia in New Delhi or in the country of their residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also mentioned that Indians who have a valid Schengen, UK or US visa will still be able to enjoy visa-free entry into Serbia for up to 90 days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
