During this meeting, the chief executive officers of district Panchayat Ichchit Gadhpale, additional collector Narottam Bhargava, commissioner of Municipal Corporation Sanjeev Kumar Jain, all sub-divisional magistrates and officials of various departments were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The collector added that 26 complaints related to Pahadgarh Janpad Panchayat CEO were pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In another meeting, all the SDMs were directed by Asthana to hold meeting with the block medical officers (BMOs) and child development project officers (CDPOs) on a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Encourage Asha Workers to Clear Cases &amp; Listen to Problems<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose behind such a move is to encourage Asha workers to talk about the pending cases and to listen to their problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nevertheless, there should not be more 25 Asha workers such meetings. More than 200 people should not attend those meetings, Asthana said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such directives are taken by the collectors in the time of need due to the powers vested in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, following are the powers and responsibilities of a collector as per the&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>government of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Deputy Commissioner is the highest Officer of revenue administration in the district. In revenue matters, he is responsible to the Government through the Divisional Commissioner and the Financial Commissioner, Revenue. He is responsible for the collection of land revenue, other kinds of Government taxes, fees and all dues recoverable as arrears of land revenue. He is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records of rights as regards the land. He is also the appointing authority for Patwaris and Kanungos and ministerial staff posted in the tahsil offices, and in the offices of Sub Divisional Officers (Civil) and Deputy Commissioner except in the case of Superintendent of Deputy Commissioner\u2019s Office and for most of the subordinate revenue staff in the district.
