{"id":1240829,"date":"2022-12-19T09:34:51","date_gmt":"2022-12-19T04:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1240829"},"modified":"2022-12-19T09:35:29","modified_gmt":"2022-12-19T04:05:29","slug":"regular-vehicle-numbers-can-now-be-converted-into-the-new-bh-series-govt-tweaks-critical-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/regular-vehicle-numbers-can-now-be-converted-into-the-new-bh-series-govt-tweaks-critical-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Regular Vehicle Numbers Can Now Be Converted Into The New BH Series: Govt Tweaks Critical Rules!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As a part of measures to widen the scope of the BH series ecosystem, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has allowed the conversion of regular vehicle registrations into Bharat Series (BH) numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Untitled-design-14.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1240874\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Untitled-design-14.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Untitled-design-14-300x140.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Untitled-design-14-768x357.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Till now, only new vehicles could opt for the BH series mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strengthening the BH Ecosystem by Facilitating Conversion from Regular Registration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the MoRTH, several representations have been received towards strengthening the BH series <a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/business\/vehicle-registrations-govt-tweaks-bh-series-rules-8328488\/lite\/?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">ecosystem<\/a> while the implementation of BH series registration mark rules is done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement also said that \u201cVehicles currently having regular registration mark can also be converted to BH series registration mark, subject to payment of requisite tax, to facilitate persons who subsequently become eligible for BH series registration mark\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An amendment has been proposed by the ministry in the rule 48 to provide flexibility to submit an application for the BH series either at the place of residence or place of work with a view to providing further ease of life to the citizen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To prevent the misuse, it is also said that the working certificate which is to be submitted by private sector has been further strengthened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the statement, the facilitation of the transfer of ownership of the vehicle with the BH series registration mark to other persons, who are eligible or ineligible for the BH series has been done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Seamless Transfer of Personal Vehicles by BH Series<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year in the month of September, the road transport ministry came up with a new registration mark \u2013 Bharat Series (BH series) \u2013 for new vehicles. This was done with the intention to ensure the seamless transfer of personal vehicles across states.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When free vehicle owners shifted from one state\/ Union territory to another, there was a re-registration process. Now the new vehicle registration regime by the government shall free the free vehicle owners from the re-registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in a statement, MoRTH said that \u201cThis vehicle registration facility under \u2018Bharat series (BH series)\u2019 will be available on a voluntary basis to defence personnel, employees of central government\/ state government\/central\/state public sector undertakings and private sector companies\/ organisations, which have their offices in four or more states\/Union territories\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 49,600 vehicles have been registered under the Bharat (BH) series as per the latest government data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maximum number of vehicles has been registered under the BH series in Maharashtra (13,625), Uttar Pradesh (5,698) and Rajasthan (5,615).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a part of measures to widen the scope of the BH series ecosystem, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has allowed the conversion of regular vehicle registrations into Bharat Series (BH) numbers.
