Maruti Is Recalling 9000+ Brezza, Ertiga, Vitara, Ciaz Cars Due To Faulty Front Row Seat Belts\" class=\"wp-image-1240594\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Untitled-design-16-1-1280x720-1-1024x576-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Untitled-design-16-1-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Untitled-design-16-1-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The affected vehicles were manufactured between November 2-28, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The country&#8217;s largest carmaker said, &#8220;It is suspected that there is a possible defect in one of the child parts of shoulder height adjuster assembly of front row seat belts, which is a rare case, may lead to seat belt disassembly.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However there&#8217;s no situations that may have happened that were disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Wait for notification<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from the company&#8217;s authorized workshops for immediate attention,&#8221; it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has already chosen to mrecall the suspected vehicles for inspection and replacement of the faulty part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The repair will be free of cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Govt rules<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to government direction all recalls have to be publicized well and there has to be a good execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So by announcing the recall and executing the replacement or correction, Maruti has taken a credible step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this, Maruti has the chance of getting a higher customer satisfaction score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Earlier incident<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in October, the carmaker had recalled 9,925 units of its three models, Wagon R, Celerio and Ignis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The issue had to do with rectifying a possible defect in the rear brake assembly pin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back then Maruti Suzuki India Ltd said, &#8220;It is suspected that there is a possible defect in the rear brake assembly pin (&#8216;Part&#8217;), which in a certain case, may break and cause a peculiar noise.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There may be a possibility of impact on brake performance in the long run&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sales up<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The company&#8217;s performance has been great so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It released its sales figures for the month of November 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its total sales during the month rose 14.4 percent year-on-year (YoY) to 1.59 lakh units compared to 1.39 lakh units in the same month last fiscal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total domestic sales were up 18.8 percent to 1.39 lakh units against 1.17 lakh units in November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Production target<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent conference, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing &amp; Sales Shashank Srivastava Maruti had warned that Maruti&#8217;s challenge to produce 20 lakh units this fiscal may fall slightly short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneycontrol.com\/news\/automobile\/maruti-recalls-9125-vehicles-to-fix-possible-defects-in-seat-belts-9658341.html\/amp?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">still <\/a>hoping for an outside chance to meet the challenge through execution of its pending orders that stands at around 3.75 lakh units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In August this year Chairman RC Bhargava said to shareholders that the company will increase its production and will challenge itself to produce 20 lakh units in the ongoing fiscal with semiconductor availability improving.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maruti Suzuki India is recalling 9,125 units of the Ciaz, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, and Grand Vitara to fix possible defects in the front row seat belts.
