{"id":1240547,"date":"2022-12-11T16:47:04","date_gmt":"2022-12-11T11:17:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/?p=1240547"},"modified":"2022-12-11T16:47:04","modified_gmt":"2022-12-11T11:17:04","slug":"govt-allows-100-work-from-home-for-these-private-employees-in-india-permanent-work-from-home-till-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/govt-allows-100-work-from-home-for-these-private-employees-in-india-permanent-work-from-home-till-december\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt Allows 100% Work From Home For These Private Employees In India: Permanent Work From Home Till December!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a latest order filed by the Ministry of Commerce, those companies, i.e. IT units located in the Special Economic Zones or SEZs are instructed to allow complete work from home for their employees until December next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/WFHWFH-1280x720-1-1024x576-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Govt Allows 100% Work From Home For These Private Employees In India: Permanent Work From Home Till December!\" class=\"wp-image-1240558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/WFHWFH-1280x720-1-1024x576-1.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/WFHWFH-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/trak.in\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/WFHWFH-1280x720-1-1024x576-1-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a recent government <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneycontrol.com\/news\/india\/govt-allows-100-work-from-home-for-employees-of-it-units-in-sez-till-dec-2023-9674081.html\/amp?utm_campaign=fullarticle&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=inshorts\">order<\/a>, there have been some amendments in the rules of SEZs, as per which IT companies in these zones will have to allow work from home to all of their employees or 100% of their strength until December 31, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;A unit may permit its employees&#8230;to work from home or from any place outside the SEZ,\u201d the notification read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the new government notification, the company will require to maintain a list of all the employees who are allowed to work from outside the SEZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis furthers our efforts to provide flexibility and omni-connected experiences to our people and bring in diverse talent pools for India to emerge as a global hub for digital talent\u201d, said the chairperson of the IT giant Accenture India, Rekha Menon, upon the government\u2019s notification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IT industry association NASSCOM has said that the new notification by the commerce ministry has simplified the whole rules governing the work from home procedure, terming the update an \u2018important enabler for the IT and BPM industry\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the notification, the rules will be applied to all employees temporarily incapacitated, or the ones travelling, or the ones working on offset units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The owners of SEZ units are directed to intimate the information about such employees to the Development Commissioner of the concerned zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnits seeking WFH in future can email an intimation on or before the date of commencement of WFH,\u201d stated a Moneycontrol report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further, the said SEZ unit will need to account export revenue of the resultant produces or services tagged to the concerned employee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a latest order filed by the Ministry of Commerce, those companies, i.e. IT units located in the Special Economic Zones or SEZs are instructed to allow complete work from home for their employees until December next year.
