Microsoft To Launch A New Super App<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to The Information on Tuesday, which cited people familiar with the situation, Microsoft Corp reportedly contemplated creating a “super app” that might contain shopping, messaging, news, and online search services among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to latest reports<\/a>, Microsoft considered developing the app to weaken Apple Inc.’s and Alphabet Inc.’s Google’s dominance of the mobile search market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per reports, Microsoft officials expected the app to increase usage of Teams chat and other mobile services, as well as the company’s multimillion-dollar advertising division and Bing search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A super app, also known as the Swiss army knife of mobile applications, has gained popularity in Asia thanks to South East Asia’s Grab Holdings and Tencent Holdings’ WeChat. It provides users with a variety of services including chatting, social networking, peer-to-peer payments, and online shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc. and the owner of Twitter, has expressed interest in creating a super app called “X” that would bring together a variety of services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expansion Plans in Pune?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The IT behemoth Microsoft Corporation (India) has paid Finolex Industries a total of Rs 328.84 crore for a commercial land in Pune measuring 10.89 lakh square feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the paperwork, the site is situated in Pimpri Waghere, Pune, and was purchased through a lease transfer arrangement with Finolex Industries for a cost of Rs 328.84 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, Rs 16.44 crore in stamp duty was paid for the transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft Fired 1000 Employees<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft laid off under 1,000 employees across several divisions in October. Employees across a variety of levels and teams around the world were affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
