Hero MotoCorp posted Q2 net profit of Rs.604 crore, up 19.4% from Rs.506 crore logged during the quarter ended September a year ago. Total income of the two-wheeler giant came in almost 28% higher at Rs.5784 crore from the year ago period.

The manner in which we have started our new journey vindicates our confidence in our future. Our bottom line results reflect our record top line performance over the past six months. This performance has come despite  rising food inflation and fuel cost.”

Hero MotoCorp logged its highest ever quarterly vehicle sales at 15,44,315 units, up 20% from the corresponding quarter last year. These record volumes were clocked by the auto maker despite high interest rate scenario and RBI hiking interest rates for almost a dozen times in last 18 months.

For the six months period from April-Sept, Hero Group sold over 3 million units, growing at a rate of more than a fifth of its sales recorded a year ago.

Recently, Hero MotoCorp called off its alliance with its long-time Japanese partner Honda. In latest, Hero Group launched its first ever dual-purpose ‘Impulse’ motorcycle in 150cc engine category under the sole tag of ‘Hero’ brand, priced at Rs.66800 ex-showroom Delhi.
