Cloud Storage Space is becoming extremely important in today’s world where we need to access our files from different devices and different locations. Google Drive is undoubtedly the most popular service when it comes to cloud storage and access of your files, be it documents or photos or any other important files.
Google came up with an announcement today that is going to make a lot of people happy, especially who rely heavily on Cloud storage. Google drive storage is now available at much cheaper prices. It is now available for $1.99 for 100GB (which was previously $4.99), $9.99 for 1TB (previously $49.99), and $99.99 for 10TB of space. And if you are not one of those who save a lot on Cloud, you always have the free option that offers 15GB space.
For free storage, the increased space will show up automatically. Those who are already on paid plans, they will automatically move to increased storage plan without any additional costs.
Recently, Microsoft had rechristened their Skydrive cloud storage service as Onedrive, where they are offering 10GB free space along with 3G free additionally if you use it for mobile photos back-up.
It is interesting how storage space, either on devices or on the cloud are increasing. Just 5 years back, 1GB storage space free was a norm. In 5 years it has increase 15 times. If we consider the same growth rate, by 2020 we should easily be looking at 250GB free space as a norm..
