60th National Film Awards were announced yesterday and while these are not as glamorous and lets say the Filmfare awards, Stardust  or other private awards, they come as huge recognition and respect. It is generally accepted that private awards are driven by commercialization and only concentrates on Bollywood (Hindi Film Industry), while National Awards truly reflect what is best across the country without bias in their respective category.

Ask any actor, actress or Film personality, which awards do they cherish most and more often than not, they will tell you about “National Awards”.
