The opening for the SBI Clerical Recruitment 2012 project has been announced for the public sector bank’s selective branches across India, for the vacancies of 2500 clerk posts.
According to the notification released, the date of conducting written exam will be Sunday, March 18, 2012. While the online registration has already started from December 28, 2011, the last date of registration of Online Applications for the SBI Clerical Cadre positions is January 20, 2012.
In a special drive targeted at under-privileged people for 2500 vacancies, 1150 posts are proposed to be distributed to the Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates; whereas the ST and OBC candidates would garner remaining seats to the extent of 750 and 600 posts respectively.
Under the regular recruitment drive for postings at North Eastern circle, 324 vacancies are meant for General category candidates, whereas remaining seats is shares between SC, ST and OBC candidates to the extent of 28, 153 and 95 seats respectively.
The eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together. The written test will consist of Objective type questions about General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, reasoning Ability and Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge. The Objective test will be based on negative marking for wrong answers.
