UK Classifies India as High Risk, Introduces Cash Bond For Visa [Trak.in Toons]

India is among the pool 6 countries that UK has termed as “high-risk” countries that include Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Citizens of these countries will be forced to pay a hefty cash bond before they enter United Kingdom.

All tourists from these countries will have to furnish a cash bond of around  Rs. 2.7 Lakh [3000 pounds] for a six month visit visa and if they overstay, this amount will be forfeited by them.

Here is what we think – They could not beat us on-field, so they are taking the fight off-field – Here is our Trak.in Toon dedicated to that!

  1. There are two angles to the issue. One is UK Point of view : High risk does not mean we are dangerous or some thing like that. High risk means people go there on any kind of visa and after expiry, go underground. This kind of risk. Every country has a right to decide this kind of risk. Also they are not banning us altogether. All they are asking is to deposit a bond which they will hand over to us when we come back with out overstay. If we are in their position, we too would do the same (in fact more as we are hyper active) Another issue is Indian point of view : The moment we hear some one say we are high risk, we go mad and say are we backward? are we dangerous ? lets give it back to them. Hmmmm….. How to do it? OK Lets try this. Lets ban trade with UK. Lets not go to UK universities for study. Lets ban Vodafone in India. Lets ban our military purchases from UK. Let our BCCI ban English cricket. In reality nothing will happen. We consider this 3000 pounds as extra cost to go to UK and hide. Last month I hear news about poor Indians who are given daily free food in Gurudwaras who do not have money to eat food. It feels bad. Think of their personal situation which forced them to go to a paraya muluk and be hungry and depend on free food. My pride did not get hurt after reading this article. Just my two paisa :)
