Online Festive Sale: Indians Will Buy $1 Billion Worth Of Mobiles In Next 5 Days!

Festive Season sales have started both on Flipkart and Amazon, along with Paytm Mall.

Amazon’s The Great Indian Festival Sale and Flipkart’s Big Billion Days have started, and now customers can buy every product starting today.

As per a report, in the next 5 days (till October 15th, when Amazon’s festive sales stop), Indians will buy $1 billion or Rs 7300 crore worth of mobiles from Flipkart and Amazon.

Meanwhile Amazon has claimed 75% market share of online mobile sales on Day #1 of their festive sales. They have also revealed which smartphone was the best seller.

$1 Billion of Online Mobile Sales!

As per Counterpoint Research’s latest report, Indians are going to spend like anything during the 5 days of festive sales.

They have calculated that $1 billion worth of mobiles will be sold on Flipkart and Amazon, till October 15th.

This will be equal to the online sale of mobiles during Black Friday sales in the US.

Besides, during this festive period, online medium will account for 42% of all mobiles sold in India.

Interestingly, the share of Chinese brands in the overall festive day sales will be much more this time: 70% of all mobiles will be Chinese this year.

Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 segment will be the most popular among e-shoppers, and at the same time, the average price of smartphone ordered online will witness a increment of 18%, compared to last year.
