The upcoming Nokia X7 or Nokia 7.1 Plus will carry a lot of from the current bestseller Nokia 6.1 Plus. Though, as per a leak, the company may drop the glass back this time for a metallic brushed back.
The new image leaked shows a metal brushed back with a hybrid design language. Nokia 7.1 Plus will come with full screen notched display and dual cameras.
The previous renders revealed that the Nokia mid-ranged flagship will feature a sandwiched glass design like Nokia 6.1 Plus, but things seem to differ now. The new leak suggests that Nokia X7 will come with a glass and metal mixed design.
Nokia 7.1 Plus Leaked Design & Features
The previous report suggested a 5.9-inch screen on Nokia X7. Though, it’s very probable that the Nokia 7.1 Plus will come with a larger display compared to Nokia 6.1 Plus. Nokia 7 Plus currently has a 6-inch Full HD+ display in an 18:9 widescreen ratio aspect.
As per the latest leak, the device will come with a 6-inch plus display panel and a notch at the top. Nokia X7 will have thinner bezels and more screen space compared to Nokia 7 Plus.
The Android One branding at the back means the Nokia device will again run stock Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Some suggest it may run Pie, but Android 9.0 Pie seems like an awfully high bet.
Nokia X7 will retain other standard features like dual camera, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and the squared frame edges.
Nokia 7.1 Plus Camera & Processor
The Nokia X7 will come with a rear dual camera set up on the back boasting Zeiss branded lenses. On the Nokia 7 Plus, we saw a 12-megapixel primary f/1.75 lens coupled with a 13-megapixel telephoto 2x optical zoom lens.
The rear camera came with a special Dual Pixel autofocus technology to produce better pictures. Up front it was a 16-megapixel shooter backed by preloaded shooting modes.
Coming to the processor, we will get to see an upgrade in terms of hardware. Nokia 7.1 Plus will come with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 710 chipset over the current Snapdragon 660 on its predecessor.
The RAM quotient is not out yet, but we don’t expect anything less than 4GB.

The Nokia 7.1 Plus will be priced somewhere around Rs 25,000. HMD Global has started to push its devices in India at competitive price points. The latest Nokia model released in India, the reversion Nokia X6 (aka Nokia 6.1 Plus) came at a very competitive price challenging the likes of Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
The company is again expected to price Nokia 7.1 Plus very competitively to challenge some of the bestselling mid-range devices.
