Blame Apple or the companies who just follow its footsteps, it’s now OnePlus who has now finally joined the no-headphone jack spree. Apple axed the 3.5 mm jack and others would obviously follow it to show even they are cool too!

After saying they care about their customers and would not have removed the 3.5 mm jack at OnePlus 6 launch, it’s now just doing what others are.

OnePlus has confirmed its upcoming flagship OnePlus 6T won’t have a headphone jack and the same time launched its updated USB Type C Bullets V2 headphones just ahead of the OnePlus 6T launch.

OnePlus Says Its Room For More Tech & Innovation

According to founder Carl Pei, nixing the jack means there’s going to be room for more tech and innovation. He thinks this is the right time and removing the headphone jack will benefit the majority of current OnePlus users.

The company says the removal of the headphone port is will further optimize the user experience offering a better overall encounter.

OnePlus has done an internal survey which shows that 59 percent of its users are switching to wireless headsets, so they think it’s the right time to ditch the jack. Also, there’s going to an adaptor in the OnePlus 6T box to let you plug your standard wired headset to the upcoming OnePlus device.

OnePlus 6T To Come With Improved Battery Life

The upcoming OnePlus 6T will see some nifty upgrades which like an in-display fingerprint sensor, an all-new design with a water-drop notch on top, bezel-less full-screen experience and much more.

OnePlus has confirmed that its OnePlus 6T will come with an “improved battery life” backed by its Dash Charge fast charging facility.

OnePlus will soon join the likes of Apple and Google Pixel phones means only a handful of flagships will come with a headphone jack feature.

Even mid-range smartphones are getting rid of 3.5 mm jacks trying to pit themselves as flagship killers. The latest example was the recently-launched Xiaomi Mi A2 who dumped the 3.5 mm headphone jack is priced at Rs 16,999.

Which Flagship Devices Still Feature A 3.5 mm Headphone Jack?

Only a few flagships are left with the headphone jack. Remarkably Samsung is the only mainstream premium brand who have till now maintained its 3.5 mm headphone jack.

OnePlus Type C Bullets Headphones Launched For Rs 1,499

To take its no-jack game a step further OnePlus launched its Type C Bullets at Rs 1,499 featuring a Type C port made compatible with its upcoming OnePlus 6T device. The company also has its wireless OnePlus Bullets with magnetic switches available in India at a price of Rs 3,990.

The company claims that the new OnePlus Type C Bullets headphones are going to be high-end professional DAC which will offer higher dynamic range, higher signal-to-noise ratio and very low noise floor compared to the previous Bullets earphones.

Also, the OnePlus Type C Bullets are going to be easy to use which comes with aramid fiber making the OP Type C Bullets more durable in nature and resistant to any type of stretches.

The OnePlus Type C Bullets is now available via its online and offline retail channels at a price of Rs 1,499.
