At its annual iPhone launch affair, Apple has finally launched the three much anticipated iPhones of 2018: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.

Among the new upgradations, the biggest was the support for dual SIMs and a budget iPhone X which packs in some of the latest Apple features priced at an entry-premium category.

The company also announced the latest fourth generation of Apple Watch, the Apple Watch series 4 at the same event.

Apple has launched an upgraded version of the current Apple flagship iPhone X. The new iPhone is going to be called iPhone XS and will come with the same 5.8-inch OLED display. The glass is said to be the most durable display ever made for any smartphone with a surgical-grade steel built on the out.

With an IP68 certification, the iPhone XS has an OLED panel with a display resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels. The smartphone also packs in 3D Touch, better stereo sound, a better Face ID with Secure Enclave.

iPhone XS will come with the a new A12 Bionic chipset, the first smartphone processor to be made on an 7nm process. It comes with a hexa-core CPU, quad-core GPU and a neural engine delivering 15 percent faster application processing, 50 percent faster time around with the CoreML running nine times faster with 1/10th energy.

iPhone XS has a rear dual camera setup consisting of a primary 12 megapixel f/1.8 aperture sensor coupled with a telephoto f/2.4 aperture sensor. The camera has a 6-element lenses, OIS, 1.4-micron pixels, Focus Pixels tech and more. Up front, the latest Apple device has a 7 megapixel f/2.2 IR based sensor coupled with a dot projector for 3D facial detection.

The company has launched a new Smart HDR feature which helps to capture better details and adjust the depth of field in real time.

iPhone XS will come with dual SIM dual standby technology, a first time for Apple iPhones. In India, Apple will offer dual SIM technology with its eSIM feature. The company has partnered with Reliance Jio and Airtel to support the Apple’s eSIM standard in the country.

The smartphone will be available in India from September 28 in storage versions of 64GB, 256GB and 512GB starting at a price of $999 (around Rs 71,500).

In India, Apple iPhone XS will launch at a starting price of Rs 99,900.

The next one on our list is the maxed out version of iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max. The smartphone has a bigger 6.5-inch OLED panel, the biggest we have ever seen on an Apple smartphone. The glass is said to be the most durable screen ever made for any smartphone with a surgical-grade steel built on the out.

iPhone XS Max also packs in 3D Touch, better stereo sound, a better Face ID with Secure Enclave.

The iPhone XS Max has display resolution of 2688 x 1242 pixels with an IP68 dust and waterproofing coat on the outside.

In the inside, iPhone XS Max will come with the all same A12 Bionic chipset, the first smartphone chip to be made on an 7nm process. It has a hexa-core CPU, quad-core GPU and a neural engine delivering 15 percent faster application processing compared to last year’s Bionic A11 chip and 50 percent faster time around.

Similar to iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max has the same rear dual camera setup consisting of a primary 12 megapixel f/1.8 aperture sensor coupled with a telephoto f/2.4 aperture sensor. The camera has a 6-element lenses, OIS, 1.4-micron pixels, Focus Pixels tech and more. Again, up front, the latest iPhone XS Max has a 7 megapixel f/2.2 IR based sensor coupled with a dot projector for 3D facial detection.

iPhone XR: Features, Specs, Price & Availability | iPhone XR India Price

Coming to our final iPhone model of the day, it the budhbu iPhone XR. This Apple smartphone is aimed at masses packing in the latest Apple features. The iPhone XR will come with a 6.1-inch LCD display with a screen resolution of 1292 x 828 pixels with no 3D Touch support. It is claimed to be the best LCD display to have been ever made for a smartphone, called Liquid Retina.

iPhone XR comes a single rear camera setup comprising of the same 12 megapixel wide sensor from iPhone XS and XS Max. It has similar 6-element lens, f/1.8 aperture, Focus Pixels, Smart HDR and other features. Up front, it’s the same 7 megapixel shooter with sumilas shooting modes and features.

The smartphone will also run the same latest A12 Bionic chip backed by Apple’s 3D enabled Face ID, touch to wake up and a aerospace-grade aluminum built on the out.

iPhone XR will again come with dual-SIM functionality in India, and Reliance Jio and Airtel will support the Apple’s eSIM standard for iPhone XR in India.

iPhone XR will be available a little later from October 19 in storage versions of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB starting at a price of $749 (around Rs 53,000).

In India, Apple iPhone XR will launch at a starting price of Rs 76,900.

All the three new Apple smartphones: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR will run the latest iOS 12.
