The event saw launching this year’s flagship iPhones: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR and the next-generation Apple Watch series 4. The company also announced its latest iOS 12 and MacOS Mojave availability dates.

The Apple event is over, and here’s all the biggest announcements made at the event and the important details you need to know.

Apple Watch Series 4

The latest Apple Watch Series 4 has 30 percent larger surface area, a new fall detection feature, an updated optical heart rate sensor and an electrical heart sensor to count ECG. It has the same battery life in more slim built.

iPhone XS

The company launched an upgraded iPhone X as iPhone XS with a 5.8-inch OLED display, stereo speakers, the latest A12 Bionic chipset, an improved battery, dual-SIM connectivity, improved dual cameras starting at a price of $999.

iPhone XS Max

The larger maxed out version of iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max has a 6.5-inch OLED display with similar internals. Except for the display and battery, both iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max has a similar set of features, where the XS Max will be available starting at a price of $1,099.

iPhone XR

The much-anticipated budget iPhone X, the iPhone XR was launched with a 6.1-inch LCD “Liquid Retina” display, Face ID, a haptic feedback feature replacing 3D Touch, same A12 Bionic chip, 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, bigger battery starting a price of $749.

First 7nm Chipset

The new A12 Bionic chipset is the first 7nm chipset to have been ever made has a 6-core CPU that consists of two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores coupled with an all-new 4-core GPU which is claimed to be 50% faster than the A11. The A12 Bionic is claimed to process 5 trillion operations per second.

Dual SIM Connectivity

The biggest addition to this year’s iPhones was the dual SIM connectivity feature. All the new iPhones will support two SIMs, where one is going to be a physical SIM card and other an eSIM. Only in China, iPhones will support two physical SIM cards at the same time.

Smart HDR

Apple launched an all new Smart HDR feature which is an upgraded version of HDR photography. It helps to shoot a 4-frame buffer with secondary interframes taken at different levels of exposures and then all the frames are automatically combined to optimize the colors, shadows and highlights in the pictures.

iOS 12

At the event Apple confirmed that iOS 12 is going to be rolled out to the public next week on September 17. This is the final version of the iOS 12 to be rolled out, and it will support all Apple iPhones starting from iPhone 5S.

MacOS Mojave

Apple also confirmed that the public version of upcoming MacOS Mojave will be available a week after the official roll out of iOS 12. So, the MacOS Mojave will be available from September 24.

2018 iPhones Availability

You can pre-order the new iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max starting from this Friday, September 14. The company will start shipping the iPhones from September 21. iPhone XR will be available a month later from October 19.
