OnePlus 6T is now almost confirmed

After a long wait of rumors and leaks, finally, we have something to confirm about the upcoming OnePlus 6T. The Chinese flagship maker is already halfway here, and the successor is set to hit the stores very soon.

Usually, the T versions of OnePlus comes sometime in November, but this year it will arrive early.

The first look is out, and the smartphone is already been certified by EEC. An unnamed model with number A6013 was spotted by a phone recommendations site, and its the OnePlus 6T. As we reported earlier, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone is going to be highly inspired by the recently-launched Oppo R17.

OnePlus 6T Will Use Oppo R17 Body & Design?

The chances are very high. OnePlus 6T may actually copy the whole design language of Oppo R17 starting from its water-drop notch to a glass built finish. Also, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone is rumoured to come with a tri-lens setup like Huawei P20 Pro.

As far as the design and built is concerned, the OnePlus 6T is going to be quite similar to Oppo R17 and somewhat to Oppo F9 Pro.

Though, we don’t think OnePlus will get into a rear tri-camera setup, and it will carry its dual rear camera system in OnePlus 6T. May be they will improve the imaging capabilities this time and put in OIS on both the lenses.

OnePlus 6T: Expected Features

Starting with the expected set of specs on the upcoming OnePlus 6T, the features will be somewhat similar to that of Oppo R17, but will largely differ in terms of hardware. Starting with the design, the OnePlus smartphone will have an all glass and metal finish on the out.

We are also expecting that the company will put in wireless charging this time.

On top, it will have an 6.4 inch edge-to-edge AMOLED display with a water-drop notch and a Corning Gorilla 6 protection. OnePlus 6T will have much slimmer bezels compared to OnePlus 6, however, the chin may get a slight thicker this time.

Coming to the hardware, the OnePlus 6T will run the latest Qualcomm flagship processor – Snapdragon 845, coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. On top, it will run the OxygenOS based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

OnePlus 6T will again sport the same vertically placed dual camera strip placed in the middle of the rear panel. If the company is planning to put in a third lens, it will sit right below the dual camera, where earlier the fingerprint sensor used to be.

If they plan to put in a third lens, the smartphone will have the true-tone LED flash just below it.

With the water-drop notch on front, the OnePlus 6T will probably come with a pop-up selfie camera like Vivo NEX.

The upcoming smartphone is also expected to give the fingerprint sensor a miss this time, or may put in an in-display fingerprint scanner like Oppo R17.

The main part, OnePlus 6T will arrive early this year, and we are expecting that the entry-premium flagship will launch somewhere around October in India, at around the same price like OP6.
