Honor 8X & Honor 8X Max: Price, Specs, India Launch & More Details!

After a very successful run with Honor 7X in India, the Huawei sub-brand is now all set to launch its successor Honor 8X. The company will launch two successors: Honor 8X and a maxed version, Honor 8X Max on September 5.

Honor has unveiled half a dozen handsets in the country in the last few months, as the company plans to expand rapidly in the Indian market.

The budget smartphones from Honor is doing pretty well in the Indian smartphone market, and its last launch, Honor Play is being considered as its best till now in terms of the price point and the specs the smartphone offers.

Honor has put out the teasers of its upcoming Honor 8X on Chinese social media site Weibo and on its own site.

Display

Honor 8X will come with a massive 7.12-inch Full HD+ 18:7:9 display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels and a water-drop notch on top.

Hardware

The smartphone will come with an octa-core processor clocking at 1.8 GHz, which is expected to be Kirin 710 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, doubled with 4GB of RAM.

Software

Honor 8X will run on Huawei’s own skin EMUI 8.2 based on the Android 8.1 Oreo. For Android 9.0 Pie, you will have to wait till the next year.

Storage

In terms of memory, Honor 8X has 64GB of internal storage. Honor 8X can be further expanded with an external microSD card up to 256GB in size.

Camera

Coming to optics, Honor 8X comes with a rear dual camera system. It will consist of a 16MP primary CMOS sensor coupled with a 2MP depth sensor backed by AI-powered capabilities.

Up front, the smartphone will come with a 8MP shooter, again backed by AI features.

Connectivity

Honor 8X  will support all major 4G LTE bands with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Dual SIMs, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.

Battery

Honor 8X will come with a huge 4900mAh battery, which is expected to come with some sort of fast-charging support in the box.

Honor 8X Max Specs | Honor 8X Max Features

The Honor 8X Max is going to be a maxed out version of Honor 8X with similar internals. We are still not sure how the screen sizes would differ on the both, some rumors suggest that it’s the Honor 8X Max and not Honor 8X which could come with the 7.12-inch display.

The Honor 8X Max will probably have a few better features compared to the standard Honor 8X.

Honor 8X India Launch | Honor 8X Max India Launch

Both the Honor 8X lineup smartphones, Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max will launch in China on September 5th. The upcoming Honor 8X series will take over the Honor 7X budget smartphone. Launched by the company in October last year, Honor 7X has done well in both in its home market China and India respectively.

Now coming to Honor 8X and 8X Max, the company will launch the Honor 8X duo in the country by the end of September or early October during the festive sales.

The India launch of both the Honor 8X smartphones are not yet confirmed, but it will soon launch in the country after their Chinese debut. Coming to the price, Honor 8X is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000. Whereas, the Max version of the Honor 8X will cost somewhere between Rs 14,000 to Rs 18,000.

Honor 8X is expected to be placed against mid-range flagship smartphones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Nokia 6.1 Plus.
