Linkedin, World’s largest social media for professionals have just released their ‘Linkedin Power Profiles’ ranking for 2018 in India.

This is the list of most viewed Linkedin profiles in a given year, and the people featured there are the most sought after by Linkedin members.

PM Modi has topped the list this year, and has been declared as having the most powerful Linkedin profile in India.

The list was announced by Srividya G, director, brand and consumer marketing for APAC & China at LinkedIn via blog post.

He said, “This is a reminder that success means different things for each of us and we hope that these Power Profiles inspire others to find their own path.”

PM Modi Most Sought After in India!

With 2.6 million followers, the official profile of PM Modi has been declared as the most powerful one by Linkedin.

In his experience, PM Modi has simply mentioned Chief Minister of Gujarat and Prime Minister of India, besides education from Gujarat University.

This year, he has posted 4 articles, and his last update was three days ago, which received 6000+ likes.

Top 5 Linkedin Influencers in India

Priyanka Chopra, the multi-talented Bollywood and Hollywood actress is at #2, and thus she has become India’s 2nd most powerful influencer right now. Interestingly, she is the only Bollywood actor in the list of most powerful persons on Linkedin.

Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, CMD at Biocon Limited has been ranked at #3 in the list, whereas Vani Kola, Managing Director at Kalaari is ranked #4.

Nobel Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, who is the Founder at Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation is ranked #5.

Categories of Influencers

This year, which is 5th edition of Linkedin’s power profile list, they have categorized the power influencers into 8 categories: Influencers, CEOs, Technology, Marketing & Advertising, Internet, Human Resources, Finance & Social Impact.

While the above list, which PM Modi has topped, is under Influencers, there are 7 other categories, for which Linkedin as created the top ranks.

Under CEO category, Rekha M Menon, Chairman and Senior Managing Director – Accenture in India has topped the list, whereas under Technology category, Debjani Ghosh, President – NASSCOM has topped the list.

Most Powerful Internet Influencers

It gets interesting in the category of Internet influencers, as the list is topped by Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-Founder & CEO at Ola.

Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma is at #2, while Alok Kejriwal, co-founder of Games2Win is at #3.

Other prominent personalities hogging limelight in this category are: Ashish Goel, Founder CEO at Urban Ladder; Suchita Salwan, founder of Little Black Book; Sriharsha M.; CEO and Co-founder at Swiggy and Ankur Warikoo, Cofounder & CEO, nearbuy.com.
