To take on Amazon in India, Flipkart has announced its much awaited ‘Amazon Prime’ like membership feature. The Walmart owned e-commerce giant has announced a special membership plan for customers called Flipkart Plus.

What’s more exciting is that the Flipkart Plus is free if compared to Amazon’s much-successful Amazon Prime. The upcoming Flipkart Plus membership plan will launch on August 15 to celebrate the 72nd Independence Day of the country.

According to the company, The Flipkart Plus program has been specifically designed for Indian customers and is an India-first program.
