State-run BSNL has repeatedly been changing plans to offer more data and benefits, in a bid to attract new customers. After changing its FTTH plans to take on Jio GigaFiber, the public telecom is now making further changes in its prepaid segment.

The company has launched a new Rs 171 plan, which will come with 60GB monthly data and unlimited calling facility. The 171 plan also offers SMS benefits as well, doubled with 2GB data per day and unlimited voice calls.

The all new BSNL STV 171 prepaid recharge plan will offer 2GB data per day for a period of 30 days.

The new BSNL 171 plan will offer a total of 60GB data for a whole month (30 days). Apart from offering unlimited data, the recharge plan also offers unlimited voice calls throughout the country without any FUP.

The 171 STV plan from BSNL will start a new price war in the telecom industry. Expect other operators to join the bandwagon and soon they will make changes to their plans as well.
