Reliance Jio will be launching its Jio GigaFiber service within a few weeks and other operators are getting ready for the competition with more data and FUP. After Airtel revised its FTTH plans to take on Reliance Jio, state-run BSNL is repeatedly making changes to offer more data.

Currently, the BSNL FTTH plans priced at Rs 3,999, Rs 5,999, Rs. 9,999, and Rs 16,999 offer more amount of data compared to its earlier FUP.

The Jio GigaFiber Effect – BSNL FTTH Plans Will Offer 3TB Data

Reliance Jio will be launching its Jio GigaFiber service in 1,100 cities across the country. The registrations for Jio GigaFiber will start on August 15. The BSNL FTTH plans will now offer increased FUP benefits, starting with its Chennai circle.

The plans will offer more data in other circles in phases. Starting with BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 3999 plan, the plan will offer 500GB FUP data at 50Mbps for Rs 3,999 a month.

The same plan earlier offered 300GB data at 20Mbps. The plan also now offers unlimited data at a throttled speed drop at 4Mbps.

Revised BSNL FTTH Plans

The BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 5999 will now offer 1000GB of FUP data at 60Mbps speed. The plan earlier offered 400GB data at 30Mbps.

The BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 9999 plan will now be offering 2TB of data at an increased speed of 80Mbps speed. The same plan earlier offered 600GB of data at 50Mbps. After exhaustion of limit, the plan will offer unlimited data at a decreased speed of 6Mbps.

The last revised FTTH plan, BSNL Fibro Combo ULD 16999 plan will now offer 3TB of FUP data at 100Mbps speed. The same earlier offered provided 800GB data at 100Mbps with unlimited browsing option at a reduced speed of 4Mbps.

Other BSNL FTTH Plans

Currently BSNL have its FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) plans starting at Rs. 999, Rs. 1,699, Rs. 2,999, and Rs. 4,999 offering upto 1.5TB data at a speed of 100Mbps.

Also, the company now offer additional benefits like unlimited voice calling with all its fibre broadband (FTTH)/ broadband tariff plans.

Airtel Launch Rs 299 Plan With 45 Days Validity

To compete in the voice-oriented section, Airtel has now launched an all new plan at Rs 299 offering unlimited voice benefits for a period of 45 days. The all new Rs 299 Airtel plan will offer free calling 100 SMS free per day but no data.

The Rs 299 plan is a voice-only plan offering unlimited calls for a period of 45 days.

The Rs 299 prepaid plan offer SMS benefit for prepaid subscribers with no FUP. Airtel already has prepaid plans priced at Rs 249 and Rs 349 offering voice call benefits with unlimited daily data.

Voice Only Plans Making A Comeback

In a new age of growing demand for mobile data, companies are bringing new voice-only plans to challenge Reliance Jio and to cater to a new segment of audience. BSNL also has a similar plan available at Rs 99 offering unlimited voice calls for a period of 26 days.

The voice-only plans are making a comeback as more companies are trying to experiment with different plans to target some untouched sections of the market which has been overshadowed by Reliance Jio.
