OnePlus 6T Is The Next Disruption? Checkout Specs, Features, Price & Launch Details!

The launch of Asus Zenfone 5Z in India has spurred a new war in the flagship market. OnePlus 6, launched a couple of months back enjoyed a near-monopoly in the entry-premium flagship segment. The Asus Zenfone 5Z offers almost a similar set of specs relatively at a better price going straight against OnePlus 6.

Though, instead of working on the price, OnePlus has already started to work on its next flagship, OnePlus 6T, to reckon the market again. With just a few months away from launch, the upcoming OnePlus 6T is gaining much hype in the smartphone market.

OnePlus 6T – Expected Features & Specifications

The upcoming OnePlus flagship is already a part of the rumour mill, and some interesting leaks has been following OnePlus 6T.

Tri-Camera Setup

Getting into the shoes of Huawei P20 Pro, the upcoming OnePlus 6T is rumoured to come with a tri-camera setup. Huawei P20 Pro comes with a rear tri-camera setup with three sensors – 40MP, 20MP and 8MP shooters. If OnePlus 6T can achieve the tri-lens feat, it can make its way into the top 3 smartphones with the best camera.

95 Percent Screen-To-Body Ratio

The upcoming OnePlus 6T may come with a completely bezel-less display on top. The OnePlus smartphone may come with a 95 percent screen-to-body ratio with almost zero bezels on the sides. It will have a slightly curved body on the sides with no frames in the front just like Oppo Find X.

In-Display Fingerprint Scanner

Unveiled first by its other sister company Vivo, OnePlus 6T will come with a fingerprint scanner under the display. OnePlus 6 already sports a face recognition security feature and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, but OnePlus 6T will probably have its fingerprint scanner under the screen.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Chipset

Chipmaker Qualcomm still haven’t commercially announced its next-generation flag chipset Snapdragon 855. But as per the rumours, OnePlus 6T will be among one of the first smartphones to use the upcoming Qualcomm flagship chipset.

5G Connectivity

The smartphone market is getting ready with the next-gen telecommunication connectivity, and several companies have already launched smartphones with 5G support. Reportedly, OnePlus 6T will also come with a 5G connection support beside some of the latest connectivity features.

8GB+512GB Memory Variant

The smartphone already has three storage variants available in the market sporting up to 256GB of internal memory. In its next generation flagship, OnePlus may up level up the game to compete against some top-level flagships with a new 8GB/512GB variant.

3D Face Recognition

OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 6 already has a face recognition security feature doubled with a fingerprint sensor. As per the sources, OnePlus 6T will come with an advanced level 3D face recognition feature which will be more safe and secure in terms of usability.

Wireless Charging 

Though in spite of having a wireless body, OnePlus gave wireless charging a miss in OnePlus 6. But OnePlus 6T will probably be different. With its popular fast-charging Dash Charge support, OnePlus 6T is expected to come with wireless charging support as well.

OnePlus 6T – Expected Price

With the growing competition, OnePlus 6T may be launched at a price ranging from its current starting price of Rs 35,000 to Rs 45,000 for the top variant. OnePlus 6 currently retails starting at Rs 34,999 for its base variant, while the 8GB+128GB variant costs Rs 39,999.

The OnePlus 6 top variant comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and now costs Rs 43,999 after a recent permanent price cut of Rs 1,000.

OnePlus 6T – India Launch & Availability

OnePlus 6T should be launching in India around November this year. Its T models, OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 5T both launched in Novembers of 2016 and 2017 respectively. OnePlus 6T will be available via its regular channels in India, online via Amazon India and OnePlus store and offline via OnePlus Experience stores.
