Redmi 6 Pro was first spotted a few months back on Chinese social media site Weibo and the smartphone since then has been a part of the rumour mill. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro (also called Redmi 6 Plus) is finally arriving on the 25th of June. Xiaomi has now officially confirmed Redmi 6 Pro and has teased some posters before its home market launch.
The press renders has also been leaked online just before the launch, and of the images of the upcoming Redmi 6 Pro were revealed online as well. The Redmi 6 Pro will come with an iPhone X like notched display. It is going to first Redmi series smartphone to come with a display notch at the top.

Redmi 6 Pro – First Look
The leaked press renders show that the Redmi 6 Pro will have a higher screen-to-body ratio compared to other Redmi smartphones available in the market. It comes with a notch at the top with a rear dual-camera setup. It has two rear sensors stacked in a vertical position with an LED flash module placed in between.
At the back, the handset has a fingerprint sensor, and Redmi 6 Pro will come in multiple colour options of Black, Rose Gold, Dark Red, Lake Blue and Gold. The previous TENAA listing also revealed that the smartphone will also be available in White, Pink, Grey, and Silver color variants as well.

Redmi 6 Pro will have a elongated 19:9 with an iPhone X like notch at the top of the display, making Redmi 6 Pro the first ever Redmi phone to come with a notch on the display.
Design & Built
Redmi 6 Pro will come with a unibody metal built on the out. The smartphone will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with a sturdy finish.
Display
The upcoming Redmi 6 Pro will come with a 5.84 inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 resolution in an elongated 19:9 aspect ratio. It will have a display notch at the top.
Hardware
Under the hood, Redmi 6 Pro will get powered Snapdragon 625 chipset clocking at 2 GHz coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and upto 4GB of RAM.
Storage
Redmi 6 Pro will come in three storage configurations – 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage, 3GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage and finally a top variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage.
Software
In terms of software and OS, the Redmi 6 Pro will run the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9.5 on top. The smartphone will support the recently-launched MIUI 10 in India.
Camera
Coming to optics, the Redmi 6 Pro will have a dual rear camera system comprising of a 12MP primary lens coupled with a 5MP secondary lens caked by AI capabilities, just like Redmi Y2 and Redmi 6 smartphones. Up front, the smartphone will feature a 5MP front snapper.
Connectivity
The smartphone will support two SIM cards with a microSD card slot placed on the left. Redmi 6 Pro will support all standard connectivity options like 4G, WiFi, GPS and others including an 3.5mm headphone with all requisite sensors on board.
Battery
Redmi 6 Pro will get powered by a huge 4000mAh capacity battery like Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. It will not support fast-charging
Price
The Redmi 6 Pro is expected to cost between Rs 10,000 to 12,000 in the country, depending on hoe Xiaomi prices the other Redmi 6 variants.
Redmi 6 Pro – India Launch
As per the rumours, Xiaomi will launch the complete series of Redmi 6 smartphones including Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and also the upcoming Redmi 6 Pro in India in the next couple of months months, most probably by August or early September.
