It seems that Baba Ramdev will have the last laugh in this battle for supremacy in India.

One of the leading market research and ranking firms has declared Patanjali as India’s most trusted brand. This way, Patanjali has successfully beaten FMCG czars and established brands like HUL, ITC, Dabur and others.

TRA’s latest Brand Trust Report 2018 report has clearly mentioned Patanjali as India’s most trusted FMCG brand.

N Chandramouli, CEO, TRA has confirmed this development, as he said that the Swadeshi manufacturer of FMCG products has displaced established and well-known brands like Unilever, ITC and Dabur in this ranking.

TRA has been conducting market research since 2011, and in this current research, 2,500 consumer-influencers across 16 cities were asked questions about brand trust of various brands across FMCG sector.

Patanjali co-founder Baba Ramdev celebrated this news, and shared on Twitter:

Last year, Patanjali clocked Rs 10,000 crore in revenues and became India’s 3rd largest FMCG player.

Now, the race is to become #1 player.

Next Steps For Patanjali: Race To Become #1

Patanjali as a brand has never shied away from declaring their full-on fight with ‘foreign’ FMCG brands like Unilever and P&G.

Their marketing campaigns, and strategies focus on highlighting the ‘Swadeshi’ or Make in India factor.

Next in line is Patanjali’s massive push towards online sales of their products.

We have already reported that Patanjali has formed major partnerships with all leading online portals, and they now want a major part of their sales via online platforms.

Besides, they have already declared investment of Rs 100 crore in Solar Power, as they plan to unleash a major revolution in the renewable energy sector.

Patanjali’s clothes-line called ‘Vastram’ is also on the cards, and very soon, we will see Swadeshi clothes hitting the market.

In 2016, they become the brand with largest advertisement spending, even as controversies related to their advertisements and marketing do comes up from time to time.
