Just ahead of its launch, LG’s next flagship LG G7 ThinQ has been leaked online. The smartphone will supposedly feature a Super Bright display which claims to have the “highest brightness” among all the smartphones in the world. The smartphone will have a 1000 Nit display which is the brightest seen on any smartphone ever.
In the other news, the ‘Active’ variant of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup has also been leaked. The Galaxy S9 Active will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and will come with a 4,000mAh battery.

LG G7 ThinQ – All You Need To Know
The smartphone is scheduled to launch at an event in New York on May 2, followed by another launch in Seoul on May 3.
Display
The LG G7 ThinQ will come with a huge 6.1 inch Quad HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. The LCD display will come with a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits which is the highest ever on any smartphone.
The smartphone will come with Super Bright Display technology and a widescreen 19.5:9 aspect ratio with a notch at the top.
LG has added a second screen which can be used as a status bar to browse notifications. Users will not have to switch on the actual display to operate the handset. LG has also added an option to hide the notch for a full appearance.
Super Bright Display
The new display on the LG G7 ThinQ is powered by the Super Bright Display technology and go up to 100 nits in brightness. LG claims that the display will consume 30 percent less battery than the LG G6. It also features a “Brightness Boost” mode which allows for comfortable viewing in direct sunlight.
The display will adjust itself based on the surrounding environment and battery efficiency. The smartphone will switch on the “smart display” mode accordingly. There’s also an Expert Mode to adjust the RGB balance, colour temperature, saturation, hue and sharpness of the display.
Other Specifications
The smartphone will come with a dual rear camera setup, where it may sport two 16 megapixel sensors. The smartphone will get powered by the latest Qualcomm flagship chipset Snapdragon 845 along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
LG has recently hinted at some of the AI-based features on its upcoming G7 ThinQ as well.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Active – Specifications & Features
As per a new leak, Samsung will launch another smartphone in the Galaxy S9 series which is being assumed to be the S9 Active. Previously the company has launched an Active version of Galaxy S8 as well.
Coming to specifications, the smartphone will get powered by the same octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will sport a 5.8 inch Quad HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.
As for the camera, the S9 Active will boast a 12-megapixel sensor with a dual aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4, and in the front, it will come with an 8-megapixel sensor with a f/1.7 aperture.
The Galaxy S9 Active will pack in a huge 4000mAh battery. It is expected to be priced below Galaxy S9, as Galaxy S9 Mini might also be launched in the third quarter of 2018. Galaxy S9 Mini had been already spotted on TENAA with a 5.8-inch HD+ display and Android 8.0 Oreo.
