Moto G6 Smartphones Launched

With a failing X series, Motorola has made a comeback in the mid-budget segment with the latest variants of its best-selling G series smartphones. After numerous of rumours and leaks, the much anticipated Moto G6 series finally saw the light of the day. An upgrade over the Moto G5 Plus and Moto G5S Plus, the Moto G6 series will come with an all-new look along with Android Oreo, dual cameras and Motorola’s TurboCharge fast charging support.

Alongside the Moto G6 series, the company also launched the Moto E5 devices, which consists of the Moto E5, Moto E5 Plus and the Moto E5 Play. The E5 series also comes with features like Android Oreo, front flash and rear-mounted fingerprint scanners.

Moto G6

The Moto G6 comes with an 18:9 Full HD+ 5.7-inch display. Under the hood, the device packs a Snapdragon 450, clubbed with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. There’s internal storage up to 64GB with a microSD card slot for expansion. It comes with a rear dual camera setup with a 12MP and 5MP sensors with dual-pixel autofocus technology.

Up front, it’s an 8MP shooter and the whole unit is backed by a 3000mAh battery with TurboCharge fast charging support. The device comes with a P2i water-repellent coating to protect the devices from accidental water spills.

The Moto G6 will start at €250 (around Rs 20,000).

Moto G6 Plus

The bigger Moto G6 Plus comes with an 18:9 full HD+ 5.9-inch IPS LCD panel. The Moto G6 Plus will get powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC, coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It comes with storage options up to 128GB along with support for a microSD card for memory expansion.

Like the Moto G6, the Plus version also comes with two rear cameras. There’s a primary 12MP 1.4µm pixels sensor with dual-pixel technology, paired with a 5MP secondary in-depth sensor. Up front, it’s an 8MP selfie, backed by a 3,200mAh battery with TurboCharge fast charging support.

The Moto G6 Plus will start at €300 (around Rs 24,000).

Moto G6 Play

Moto G6 Play is the most affordable one of the G6 series which come with a 5.7-inch 18:9 HD+ display, Snapdragon 427, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It can be further expanded with a microSD card. The G6 Play packs a single 13MP shooter with the same 8MP shooter up front.

The G6 Play gets a bigger 4,000mAh battery with TurboCharge fast charging support. The Moto G6 Play will be available at €200 (around Rs 16,500).

Moto E5

The Moto E5 will come with a 5.7-inch 18:9 widescreen HD+ display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 and 2GB of RAM with 16GB of onboard storage. The memory can further be expanded with a microSD card. At the back, there’s a 13MP shooter and a 5MP sensor on the front.

The device also packs a fingerprint scanner at the rear panel, and the whole unit is backed a large 4,000mAh battery with TurboCharge fast charging support.

The larger Moto E5 Plus comes with a 6-inch 18:9 widescreen HD+ display, protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by Snapdragon 435 coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB.

At the back, the device packs a 12MP shooter with 1.25-micron, f/2.0 aperture and laser autofocus technology. There’s an 8MP front-facing shooter with an up-front LED flash. The device packs a massive 5,000mAh battery, which comes with TurboCharge fast charging technology.

The E5 Play is the cheapest one in the E5 family which comes with a 5.2 inch HD display and Snapdragon 425 (Snapdragon 427 in some markets). The device comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB.

At the back, it comes with an 8MP camera at the back, followed by a 5MP camera on the front. The device will come with a 2800mAh battery.
