Higher Prices

As per the leaked reports, OnePlus 6 is going to be the costliest OnePlus smartphone ever. The 6GB/128GB OnePlus 6 variant may cost around Rs 35,000/- whereas the 8GB/256GB version may cost upwards of Rs 45,000/-.

Not An Oppo R15 Copy

Several rumours have surfaced that OnePlus 6 is going to be a copy of Oppo R15, the sister brand of OnePlus. These speculations are based on the OnePlus 5T being similar to Oppo R11s. But this time the OnePlus 6 will launch with a different design language and other additional features.

The iPhone X Inspiration

OnePlus is known to take a lot from iPhones. Just like the OnePlus 5, whose design language is similar to the iPhone 7 Plus, the screen on the OnePlus 6 seems to have been inspired from the one on the iPhone X. From the notch to gesture navigation, to a vertical rear-lens setup, the OnePlus 6 has a lot in common with the iPhone X in terms of design.

Wireless & Dash Charging

The smartphone will come with a 3,450 mAh non-removable battery with Dash Charge. With a new glass back, the smartphone will most likely include fast-wireless-charging support.

Expected Launch

OnePlus smartphones are known to launch in June every year. But, the OnePlus 6 may break tradition and arrive early. The reports hint at a May release. Between then and now, expect plenty more OnePlus 6 leaks before the flagship actually arrives.

An Avenger-Themed OnePlus 6!

OnePlus surprised many Star War fans last year with a limited edition run of the OnePlus 5T. It was called the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition. It had a custom colour scheme to match the theme of the movie with a textured back which mimiced the surface of the planet where the penultimate action takes place.

Now, based on a video posted mistakenly on OnePlus India’s Facebook page has revealed a possible connection between the upcoming OnePlus flagship and the latest Avengers movie. The video has since been taken down. But a mirror available on YouTube shows the 9 second clip with the OnePlus and the Avenger logos intermingling at the start of the clip.

While an actual smartphone is not seen in the clip, the implications of it are exciting and will definitely have the OnePlus and Avengers fans excited. The Avengers: Infinity War is set to release on April 27. This conveniently coincides with the fact that the OnePlus 6 could release early this year instead of following its usual release cycle in June.

Here’s hoping that OnePlus does come out with a limited edition OnePlus 6. It will surely send the sales soaring.
