Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana has once again become the best city to live in India, the fourth time in a row! However, for this year’s global list, Pune has improved its ranking by a considerable margin, to get throned as the best city to live along with Hyderabad.
Globally, Vienna has once again topped the list of best cities, in the whole world.
But what about India’s national capital and economic capital?

Hyderabad And Pune – Best Cities To Live in India!
Mercer, the global human resource consulting firm has released their latest ranking of the best cities to live, all over the world.
This unique ranking assists global companies to rate and gauge the cities and to allocate suitable salaries for their employees.
In India, Pune and Hyderabad have been declared as the best cities to live, based on various factors of urban infrastructure and livability criteria.
Last year, Pune was the 2nd best city to live with a ranking of 145; and this year, the city improved its ranking by 3 spots to reach 142. Hyderabad too was ranked 142 this year to match Pune.
However, last year, Hyderabad was ranked 141, which means that the city lost one spot.
India’s national capital New Delhi is again the worst city to live in India, as it was ranked #162 this year, compared to 161 last year.
Bengaluru too has slipped down the ranking, as it was ranked no. 149 this year, compared to 146 last year. Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai have maintained their ranking.

Vienna Best City To Live In The World, Baghdad Worst City!
In the overall rankings, the picturesque city of Vienna, capital of Austria, has been ranked as the best city to live in the whole world. Vienna has only 1.8 million citizens, and this is the 9th time they have topped the charts.
Zurich from Switzerland is at #2, while Auckland from New Zealand is ranked #3.
Interestingly, Europe has the maximum number of cities to be ranked in the top 10 list.
Germany and Switzerland both have three cities each in the top 10 list.
Vancouver from Canada is the best city to live in North America, as it has beaten New York, Washington and other American cities to be ranked at #5.
From the bottom, Iraq’s capital Baghdad has been ranked as the worst city to live. Djibouti from Africa is the 2nd worst city and Tegucigalpa from Honduras is the 3rd worst city.
