Inspite of their merger happening well before the stipulated time, both Vodafone and Idea are coming up with more aggressive plans to fight against market leader Airtel, the disruptor Jio and even against each other.
With the prepaid zone already saturated, Vodafone and Idea are trying to make a mark in the postpaid space more aggressively, where still Jio lacks a stable user base. Recently, Vodafone launched its RED Postpaid Plans. Now it’s soon-to-be partner Idea has revised all its Postpaid Plans and has increased the data limits at the same time.

New Idea Postpaid Plans
Idea Rs. 349/- Postpaid Plan
The first postpaid plan from Idea starts at Rs. 349/- and offers unlimited calling (Local and STD) with free incoming calls on national roaming. But, outgoing roaming calls are chargeable. There are no free SMS and there’s only 1GB of data for the whole month. Idea is offering extra 4GB data for a limited period.

Idea Rs. 399/- Postpaid Plan
This is a data-centric postpaid plan from Idea which offers 1GB of data per day at Rs. 399/- a month. The plan also includes unlimited calling (Local, STD and free incoming calls on national roaming), though without free outgoing calls in roaming. This plan also offers 100 free SMS per day.
