10.or G Launched in India – The Affordable Dual Cameras

 

The Chinese company 10.or (Tenor) has partnered exclusively with Amazon India to sell their phones in the country. After they launched their Amazon exclusive budget smartphone 10.or E, they are back with a mid-range, dual camera smartphone for the Indian Market.

The 10.or G smartphone will be equipped with two rear cameras. It will be available in two variants;

• 3GB RAM + 32GB Storage version will be priced at Rs. 10,999/-
• 4GB RAM + 64GB Storage version will be priced at Rs. 12,999/-

10.or G – Specifications And Features

The highlight of the latest 10.or G is the dual-camera system at the back, along with 4000mAh battery and Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box, which will later be upgradeable to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Design and Build

10.or G has a unibody metal build giving the smartphone a sturdy and compact finish. The fingerprint scanner lies on the back, below the dual cameras. The smartphone also feature dual speakers.

Display

The smartphone will feature a 5.5” full HD, 1920 x 1080 pixels display. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for extra protection.

Hardware

The 10.or G will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It will offer stable and optimum performance.

Software

The smartphone will run Android 7.1.2 out of the box. The company has confirmed that they will soon roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update for 10.or G.

Internal Storage

The 10.or G will be available with 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB.

Camera

The 10. or G sports a dual-camera setup at the back with two 13MP shooters. One of them is an RGB sensor, while the other is a monochrome one. It has a dual-LED flash with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and an f/2.0 aperture. At the front, there is a 16 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash for capturing low-light selfies.

Sim Support and Connectivity

The device features a hybrid dual-SIM slot (Nano Sim + Nano Sim or Micro SD Card). It supports all 4G LTE bands and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth v4.2. It has all the requisite sensors on board with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Battery

The 10.or G packs a massive 4,000mAh battery which is rated to give a two-day battery backup with moderate usage.

Variants and Pricing

3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant will cost Rs. 10,999/-. 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version will cost Rs. 12,999/-. Both these variants will comes in two colour options – Beyond Black and Go Grey.

Availability And Launch Offers

10.or G will be an Amazon India Exclusive. It will go on sale on Amazon from 3rd October.
As part of the launch, the company is offering no cost EMI option on all the major credit cards. There will be extra buyback on exchange offer, with free Kindle e-books worth Rs. 385/- for Amazon Prime members. Prime members will also get an extended warranty of one year.

Verdict

10.or G offers some top of line specs at a mid-range price point, which will help the device to stay ahead of it’s competitors  like Redmi Note 4, Moto G5, Honor 6X, Lenovo K8 Plus. The 3GB/32GB model seems like a sensible buy given the price point. From dual rear cameras to a massive 4000mAh battery and promised update to Android 8.0 Oreo, the new 10.or G is a complete package!
