Airtel Launches New Plans To Counter Jio: Plans Now Start From Rs. 5 Upto Rs. 399

Airtel Counters Jio

As the festive season of Dusshera and Diwali is coming near, Airtel has once again launched a new assault on the aggression shown by Jio.

In their new line of attack, Airtel has launched plans starting from Rs 5, upto Rs 399; and the nature of these new, innovative plans is such that they accurately match Jio’s available plans.

The end users, the consumers, are of course spoilt for choices here, as they now have two very interesting alternatives.

Will Airtel be able to pull this off?

Airtel’s New Plans: Rs 5 To Rs 399

Some of these new plans launched by Airtel yesterday were available earlier as well, but have been now launched under a new marketing campaign.

The plans launched by Airtel are:

Rs 5:

4 GB 3G/4G data, for 7 days. This is certainly one of the most scintillating plans, but only for those customers who upgrade their SIM from 3G to 4G. Besides, this is a one-time offer.

Rs 8:

Get local+STD calls at 30 paisa/minute, for 56 days. This plans seems tailor-made for those who will miss the the festival due to work, and need to speak with their family members.

Rs 40:

Talktime of Rs 35, with unlimited validity.

Rs 60:

Talktime of Rs 58, with unlimited validity. Both of these plans have been designed for those who wish to use voice more, compared to data.

Rs 149:

Airtel to Airtel unlimited calls (local + STD), along with 2G 4G data for 28 days. Now, this is where the similarity between Jio and Airtel narrows. However, for Rs 149, Jio is offering unlimited calls to any operator, along with 2 GB 4G data for 28 days (which is same here)

Rs 199:

Users can get unlimited local calls, along with 1GB, 2G/3G/4G data. A classic plan, for those who are unsure about data, but keen on voice calls, locally

Rs 349:

This is again, one plan which Airtel is desperately promoting, to counter Jio’s Rs 349 plan. Airtel users can get unlimited calls, along with 1GB per data per day for 28 days, which means 28 GB data for 28 days. With Jio, they are also offering the same unlimited voice calls for Rs 349, along with 20 GB data for 56 days (4G). However, Airtel is now offering 10% cashback for this plan, if paid via Airtel Payments Bank.

Rs 399:

Again, similar plan like Jio: Unlimited voice, along with 84 GB for 84 days (4G data). However, with Airtel’s case, users are advised to check with customer care, whether this plan is available for them or not.
