After shaking and stirring telecom sector with their earth shattering data plans, Jio is now all set to disrupt broadband Internet market in India as well.

As per some exclusive news received, Reliance Jio is right now testing their JioFiber service, which is the name given to their broadband Internet services.

And the big news: First adopters of JioFiber will be able to use 100 GB data per month, at a speed of 100 Mbps, free for 90 days.

JioFiber’s Insider Details Revealed

As per reports emerging, JioFiber is right now being tested across several cities in India, out of which Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai are confirmed, along with Jamnagar, which the hub of Reliance Industries.

In a twitter reply by Jio, it was revealed that testing is also underway across Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. But other names of the cities were not revealed.

Besides, reports are also coming in that JioFiber would be rolled out in a similar fashion like that of Jio telecom services: Initial preview offers for few customers, and then testing phase of fw months, before nation wide roll out.

Free 90 Days For JioFiber Users?

Some report claims that early users of JioFiber (just like Jio telecom) would be able to get 90 days of free service, which will include 100 GB data usage per month, at a speed of 100 Mbps.

Jio has named this offer as JioFiber Preview Offer.

Once 100 GB are consumed, users would be able to access broadband Internet at 1 Mbps speed, for unlimited usage.

Pricing details aren’t out yet, but the reports claim that the users would be required to shell out Rs 4500 as a one time charge, which is refundable, if the customer decides to cancel subscription. Details of plans are also not yet out.

As per some exclusive brochure accessed by reporters, it was revealed that Jio will roll out  “India’s first and only 100 per cent fiber video optimised network”, which will empower users to access “ultra-high speed internet at fingertips”.

Users will also get dual-band Wi-Fi routers, which has been claimed to offer “best indoor coverage and connectivity with the Fiber Home Gateway”. This router would be linked with a cloud service, through which users can monitor the usage via app.

Now, the question is, whether Jio would be able to meet the standards set by ACT Fibernet, which is offering 1 Gbps speed in Hyderabad.
