Jio 4G Enbaled Laptop

It would be an understatement to consider Reliance Jio as just a 4G telecom operator. Besides telecom services, the company has shown interest in developing various products in diverse sectors like smartphones, VoLTE feature phones, Wi-Fi devices (JioFi and JioLink), Jio Car Connect, and Jio DTH service.

The company is nearing its launch of its DTH service and Jio fiber broadband, but according to a report by PhoneRadar, Reliance Jio is rumoured to be working on a Jio branded laptop similar to Apple MacBook.

What Are Jio 4G Laptop Specifications?

The Jio 4G laptop will come equipped with a dedicated 4G SIM slot and will be a rebranded version of a laptop made for InFocus by Foxconn, the report claims. The Jio laptop will sport a 13.3-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 16:9.

The laptop will be made out of magnesium alloy flanking the 4G SIM slot on the left side. A chicklet style keypad will be gracing the laptop but will miss the Numpad. This laptop will measure 12.2 mm thickness and will tip the weighing scale at 1.2 Kg.

Jio laptop will run on an Intel Pentium quad-core CPU, 4 GB RAM, and will pack 64 GB eMMC storage along with 128 GB SSD internal storage. Other specifications include an HD camera for video calls, Bluetooth 4.0, 2xUSB 3.0 ports, 1 micro HDMI port, and a micro-SD card slot.

The OS on which this laptop will run is not confirmed yet which can be either Windows 10 OS or Chrome OS.

The report did not mention anything about the battery backup, but we expect it to deliver a good 5-6 hours of basic usage.

There is no official word from Reliance Jio about this upcoming laptop so we would advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt. These specifications mentioned above may or may not materialise, although they seem very realistic to us.

Talking about the price, we expect it to be launched at a very competitive price given Reliance Jio’s penetration pricing market entry strategy for the rest of its products. It might be launched at either rock bottom price having wafer thin margin or a company-subsidized price for gaining initial market share.

We will keep you updated as more details come in about this Reliance Jio laptop. Stay tuned on Trak.in!
