Unlimited Voice Calling Becoming The Norm Now?

After BSNL’s newest offer of unlimited voice calling and bundled Internet has been launched for Rs 144, it seems that ‘unlimited voice’ calling is slowly but gradually becoming the norm in telecom circles.

And this trigger was ignored by Reliance Jio, when they officially launched their services, and offered free, unlimited voice calling for a period of three months, which was later extended till March, 2017.

Soon, this type of offer became viral, asAirtel launched their own Jio-esque plan, offering unlimited calling to any network for Rs 146 with 300 MB bundled data, and another plan for Rs 349 with unlimited voice calling and 1GB of bundled data.

Within 24 hours, Idea too came out with their own version of unlimited voice calling plan, which started at Rs 148 with 50 MB of bundled data, and 300 MB for 4G users. For Rs 348, 4G Idea users received 1 GB of bundled data along with unlimited voice calling.

And, the next day, it was Vodafone’s chance to display their might of unlimited voice calling. For Rs 150, Vodafone users were able to do unlimited voice calling and got 300 MB of data unbundled with the package for 4G users.

Although BSNL’s stint with unlimited voice calling started with landline connections last year’ they converted this offer for their mobile users as well, who had landline connection. In terms of unlimited broadband, BSNL’s plan of Rs 249 was launched in September last year.

But BSNL’s newest offer of unlimited voice calling for Rs 144 can be described as their boldest move ever.
