Mobile Wallet payments have seen meteoric rise over past couple of years – Although, they still account for only a fraction of all digital payment, their growth has been fastest among other digital payment modes. Interestingly, mobile wallet payments are not limited to online world alone, even in offline world they are now being used at variety of places from buying milk to paying for your parking!

Ola Money, the digital payment solution from Ola, India foremost cab rental booking app has now decided to spread it’s wings beyond their own platform. They have announced partnership with leading online marketplaces eBay, YepMe and AskmeBazaar.

When shopping on these 3 marketplaces, buyers will now get an additional option of Ola Money wallet. If using a smartphone, the purchase can be completed with a single touch and if on web, users will need to use OTP authentication to complete the transaction.

As an introductory offer, customers will be eligible for an additional 10% discount (valid till June 21st) when they use Ola Money to make their payments on eBay.

Apart from their own platform, Ola Money can also be used to do mobile prepaid recharges, Prepaid Mumbai Metro recharges, Cleartrip payments among others. They also recently forged an exclusive digital payment partnership with RSRTC- the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation.

Other Recent Mobile Wallet Developments

Last month Reliance Jio launched their JioMoney Digital Wallet which can be used on their own fashion website AJio.com along with Reliance Digital and Reliance Fresh Outlets.

Paytm has become aggressive with their offline foray, and they are forging partnerships in diversified businesses. Paytm wallets are now being accepted at Mother Dairy Booths in Delhi-NCR region. They also recent tied up with major vehicle parking providers to enable users to pay for their parking through the wallets. What’s more Paytm wallet is now accepted even at Petrol Pumps!
