Uber Service Tax fares Cab

Uber’s popularity in capital city of Delhi has hit rough weather since start of this year due to infamous rape incident. Infact, the company has been banned to ply their cabs on the streets of Delhi & NCR region.

After facing cancellation of its license, Uber was supposed to go off the streets in Delhi and NCR, but it hasn’t. Instead, Uber seems to have actually gone on offensive and are now offering too-good-to-resist ride rates to all passengers in Delhi.

40% Discount On All Rides

While the Delhi High Court has invalidated the cancellation of licenses of Uber, Ola and TaxiForSure, they still are operating in Delhi without a license. That, however has not deterred Uber even a bit. It has infact shifted to the top gear. It is not only operational on the busy Delhi roads, but is also offering a promotional offer wherein the users will get 40% discount on all rides.

Currently, Uber charges Rs. 55 as a base fare for UberX service having Rs.9/km rate, and Rs. 85 as base fare for UberBlack having Rs.12/km rate. With this 40% discount the rate/km will come down significantly.

Here are the promotion rates

Uber Service Current Rates (per km) Discounted Rates (per km)
UberX Rs. 9 Rs. 5.4
UberBlack Rs. 12 Rs. 7.2

This promotional offer will be valid till 26 June 2015 and can be availed by entering “DELHI40” in promo code section of the app at the time of booking a ride. The offer would only be applicable for 2 trips per person per day and would be valid between 12 pm and 4 pm.

At the time of writing of this post, we couldn’t find UberGo (the cheapest Uber service) anywhere on its website for Delhi & NCR. So, the cheapest rates for an Uber ride in Delhi & NCR with these discounts would be Rs. 5.4/km.

The recent events have hit Uber hard, and with such irresistible offers, they are trying to win back customers, which we suppose have been on the wane.

This a promotional offer and can be availed only till 26 June 2015, so better plan your afternoon travel accordingly and rates nearly half that of auto rickshaws.
