XBox One’s Success

XBox One’s success has surprised many, especially due to the fact that mobile and tablets have drastically eaten up the gaming market across the globe. Most casual gamers prefer the portability and ease of playing games on mobile devices.

However, XBox One was able to sell millions of consoles in 13 countries it launched initially. And as per the announcement, the usage of XBox One console is pretty staggering. Microsoft announced that users spend an average of over five hours per day on Xbox One. And after their recent launch of “Titanfall”and highly anticipated Twitch broadcasting feature, the average playing hours have increased further. Last week, Microsoft witnessed highest number of hours logged on Xbox Live since the launch of Xbox One.

The success of Xbox is even more surprising is because, the console does not come cheap. At $500 apiece, it is the most expensive console game till date. Add to that the fact that, old XBox 360 games do not work on the console, and XBox One games are upward $50 each.

One thing is sure – XBox One is a huge hit for Microsoft. With rave reviews it has got, I am sure it will be successful in new markets like India as well. The price for India has not been announced as yet – we will update our readers as soon as we learn about it!
