Highly Anticipated Moto G Coming To India Last Week Of Jan: Unofficial Leak

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the highly anticipated Moto G will be released in India during the last week of the January, 2014.

During the recently concluded CES – 2014 in Las Vegas, Motorola officials leaked this information to Times of India reporters, stating that the company will launch fully featured Android powered smartphone “last week of this month”.

In the US, this Moto G is priced at $179 and $199 for unlocked versions.

Although Motorola have not yet revealed the exact price of Moto G, but William Moss, director of corporate communication at Motorola Mobility, had earlier said that “it is going to be priced competitively… if you look at what the device offers, the kind of responsiveness and performance it has, Moto G will be competitive with its peers.”

Moto G Launch India

Earlier, we had speculated that Moto G would be launched in the month of November, but the dates got delayed due to various circumstances.

There has been intense speculation and craze for this latest offering from Motorola. Ever since Motorola announced it’s comeback into the mobile market with the launch of Moto X, there has been lots of buzz and excitement regarding Moto G.

Tech pundits have hailed this smartphone as the best Android smartphone, within $200 range. It is already loaded with Android Kitkat 4.4 version and it is expected that Google owned Motorola Mobility shall roll out the newest changes first on Moto X and Moto G, besides the Nexus series.

Earlier, replying to a tweet in the month of December, Motorola had confirmed that Moto G would be launched in early January.

Some segments of the media is comparing this excitement for Moto G with that of Apple iPhone series. The primary reason for such anticipation and craze is the ultra-affordable pricing and superb features.

Even if the model launches in India at the US price, we can get 8 GB Android phone laced with KitKat 4.4 for only Rs 10,500 ($179) and 16GB for Rs 12,000 ($199). Compared to handsets from other manufacturers, this is really affordable.

Its 4.5 inch screen with resolution of 1280*720 pixels and density of 329 PPI is simply tremendous if compared to the price paid for.

Additionally, the phone is powered with quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM; something which you can’t get at this pricing anywhere in the world.
